Every thought we pay attention to affects every cell in our body. That's what the cell biologists say.
Not every thought that passes through our mind, but the ones we hang on to. These are often negative thoughts, beliefs or worry and concern.
I saw this for myself years ago in my own health journey. After taking a truck load of supplements and removing so much from my diet, but still feeling exhausted, I soon realised there was a bigger part at play.
Since my discovery, I often felt torn between addressing mental stress or using naturopathic treatments of diet, supplements and strategies to heal chronic gut problems, burnout, anxiety, depression, weight issues, or adrenal, thyroid and hormonal issues.
Both are necessary.
But I've seen that reducing mental stress is far more powerful than any supplement you can take.
I've seen clients overcome panic attacks, debilitating anxiety, chronic burnout, autoimmune thyroid conditions or weight issues, in such a short time, through relieving mental overwhelm and stress.
In his experiments, cell biologist Dr Bruce Lipton, discovered that the mind overrides the body.
Research in behavioural epigenetics has shown that brain cells translate the minds perceptions (thoughts) of the world into unique chemical profiles that, when secreted into the blood, control the fate of the body's 50 trillion cells.
When our thoughts change, we change our biochemistry.
Then symptoms and chronic conditions can heal.
Stressful thinking also changes our behaviour, dictating our food choices, energy and habits.
Our symptoms or condition are our alarm systems, telling us that we are holding on to stressful thinking, it can even be something from our past that we aren't at peace with yet.
