Are your symptoms related to menopause or adrenal fatigue?
Because the symptoms are very, very similar!
I've got a lot of women coming to my workshops talking about their symptoms of menopause and how much it relates to adrenal fatigue. And it's true because our adrenals are so important for a healthy menstrual cycle. And the stress affects this.
Adrenals and stress are related and they will affect our menstrual cycle. Our adrenals are our only source of testosterone in women. Now testosterone is a hormone which is important for us for our libido. And a lot of women go through adrenal fatigue that's probably up there as one of the number one symptoms of adrenal fatigue is no libido.
Women tell me they would rather clean the floor than have sex, so that's a problem. It affects hair growth. It's important for muscle mass which has a direct relationship with the amount of body fat that we have.
So testosterone's important to keep body fat lower as well. So our adrenals produce our testosterone in our body.
Now as we go through menopause, as we begin that transition, we don't get the same hormone production from our ovaries. We don't get the oestrogen and progesterone being produced from our ovaries.
What happens is that the adrenals start to pick up the slack. They don't make the same, the exact same kind of hormones, but they make similar hormones to help us transition into menopause and not have all the symptoms and side effects.
So quite often what I see is that women already have adrenal fatigue going into the peri-menopause which makes all of those symptoms even worse. Which means we get more hot flashes, we get mood changes, we get a low libido, insomnia, and vaginal dryness.
Plus, it effects our bone health because we don't have that hormone production.
If you're go through a hard time through menopause at the moment or perimenopause, then I definitely support the adrenals system.
That's 100% what I treat and help women to support their adrenals as they go through menopause. To reduce those symptoms and have better health as they go through menopause.
So if you'd like to know more about how to heal the adrenals, and if this is what's going on for you, come and join me. I'm running a workshop this week where I'm going to talk more about it. I'm going to talk about how it affects our energy, our mood, and our body weight as well.
It's free to join.
