[00:00:38] Vesna: [00:00:00] Hey everyone, and welcome. Today I wanna talk about what have I been up to?
So I wanted to share a bit of an update of the things I'm doing and what I'm changing and things that I've learned. Particularly if you are business and you are growing and you're scaling and you're doing things differently, then this may be helpful for you.
because I'm really gonna focus on. [00:01:00] business and business growth and upgrading your business. So recently I have done quite a few trips to the US and they are big trips. And the last one that I did, I attended a business mastermind. So I've just signed up for a business mastermind that I've wanted to do.
For a really long time and I finally was in the position and I had the opportunity to jump into this inner circle That's what I went over just recently to attend. And so it was amazing. I have to say first I've never really wanted to be in a mastermind. I didn't really see the value in it. I was in a smaller mastermind many years ago, which was amazing.
And then from there, I didn't really want to attend another mastermind. I like doing courses and programs, but not so much being in a mastermind. so I've signed up to this, you know, it was a significant investment, but I have to say, so far it's well worth it. Okay. So when I went to the US I went to Boise, Idaho, [00:02:00] which I don't know if anyone's ever been there.
I dunno why you would go there unless you have family there or have some work functions as I did. But, um, Going there and spending time with these people. There were a few things that I learned that were really significant for me just being in that room. So being in a room with about 80 other people who were really at the top of the game, and you know, in this online coaching, consulting space or courses space, they're probably the best of the best.
And so when I. Went into that room, I felt really intimidated and honestly, so much of my inner critic, came up to say, wow, I can't believe you're in this room. Like, these people are so far ahead of you, you're so far behind. Your stuff is so basic. Chatter, chatter, chatter. I didn't pay too much attention to it to begin with because I thought, well, I am in this room.
there's a reason why I'm in this room. And I may be not as far along as they are, but that's what I'm here to do. Right? And so that kind of settled my mind down. But it was really interesting [00:03:00] because if you know that saying if you're the smartest person in the room, you're in the wrong room. And I thought, well, I am in the right room.
I can tell you that now. So the thing that I learned. By just stepping into that room hearing people speak. So one of the things that we had to do, we had to present what was working best in our business. And I really loved this idea because it was all about sharing. It was all about giving and sharing and being of service.
I loved it. And when I heard people speak, You know, the message like that I was getting was like,
I need to do better in everything. I need to upgrade everything.
Because they just had everything so dialed in. They were like not one level above. They were like 10 levels above, you know, in what they had dialed in.
And so there was something like, I call it an effective osmosis. Just being in that room helped me to upgrade my mindset, my thinking, and helped me to start seeing things a little bit differently. You know, a couple of the other people that I spoke to were saying things [00:04:00] like, Through this week, I really started to see that I was thinking small, how small I was thinking in my business.
And for me it was like, I just need to upgrade everything, right? Everything needs to be better. And so I think that was a really powerful lesson. you know, seeing that and then knowing how to do it like that is being led for you by example. So that was one of the biggest lessons and. You know, with any of these business workshops that you do with business Masterminds, it's all about business growth and scaling and continuity and systems and teams and all of that.
And so when I walked away from there, the other big lesson that I really came up for me was service, more service and keeping on track with the mission. So. For me, a big part of my work. You know, I talk to my team, I talk to the natural on my team just, now, and we were talking about, you know, you can make money doing anything, but we do this 'cause we love it because we love serving people, we love helping people.
We're really passionate about this. And so when I walked away from this event and a couple of other little [00:05:00] things that happened since being there, I was like, I just wanna serve in a bigger way, in a sense of we're gonna do things a little bit differently. we are gonna help more, Provide solutions in different ways, which you'll see as we release this stuff.
But the biggest thing is that there are a lot of people that want help, that need help, that dunno where to go to. Um, they ask a lot of questions. We get a lot of questions in our email, right? We get a lot of questions under our content, on our ads, and we just wanna be able to serve people better with their questions and with their comments.
Okay? And so. That's one of the things that I'm gonna be bringing more into my business, like even this podcast is really about service. Because, you know, each time that I do it, I think, well, what would help people? what's the problem that, you know, I hear that my women are going through what would help them, what do they need to hear?
So it's really a part of service as well. I wanna take it up a notch. Okay. Because I think. In business, you know, you get so stuck on, you gotta balance the books and you gotta manage the team and you gotta, particularly with online the content and all this kind of stuff. And then you [00:06:00] forget.
You get lost in all that busyness and you forget why you're here. And I don't so much forget why I'm here, but I'd like to put more energy and more resources onto why I am here. And that is to serve and that is to help and to. Provide solutions for people when they need it. Okay. And so a lot of what I'm thinking that we are doing, that we're going to be doing, and that I've talked to my team about is things that, are really just a service of no cost.
Okay? And so it's a way to give back and it's a way to help people who maybe can't afford help or don't really know where to go. So anyway, the service thing for me. It was a really big one. Okay. I think that, like I said, we can get lost in our business of why we are doing what we are doing, and I think it's really important to reconnect with your mission of why you do what you do.
The other thing that I really experienced through all of this was really connecting with other people, putting yourself out there. I work behind a computer for most of the day, and so for [00:07:00] me, I'm so accustomed to having Zoom calls and doing presentations via Zoom. And so it was really nice to do in-person events, which is something that I would like to definitely do in my business, and really putting yourself out there because in these kinds of environments, they can be.
Like I said, when I walked in there I was really intimidated And the thing is, there's something about our mind where we feel imposter syndrome or we feel intimidated that somehow we think, well, they're up there so we must be down here. And you know, I don't know what I'm talking about.
I don't know what I'm doing. Right. It's a quick dismissal. Our mind. Loves to do that and what I noticed was having conversations with people that were doing some pretty amazing things online was how open they were, how friendly they were, how much they were willing to help you and to be of service.
Right. And I think that's what we can do as business owners to other business owners, to our customers, to our team. I think, you know, showing up and being more of service because [00:08:00] that's where the fulfillment is. yeah, we get some satisfaction in our achievements and all of that kind of stuff and you know, we have a business to run so we, you know, money in, money out, all of that's important.
But really what I think feeds our soul is the fulfillment part, and it's really, you know, being of service. And so however you do that within your business or however you do that within your life, right? It doesn't need to be necessarily within your business. It can be at home, it can be in your community, it can be within your family.
And so a lot of our lives today are built around ticking off things from our checklist, completing tasks, having achievements when we forget the bigger picture. So. I just want to share that in today's podcast to give you an idea of what I've been up to, where my mind's at, what I wanna focus on and, yeah, where I've been.
So I would love to hear in the comments below, what have you been up to? Did you take away any key pieces from this? Is there anything that you could do in your business or in your career or in your community that is being of service, being [00:09:00] more of service? Let me know in the comments.
