For me this means more than a green smoothie, vitamins and meditation. It's using the mind as medicine to heal our body and life.
The more I studied and saw how much the mind influences our food choices, relationships, work and self-care, it was a no-brainer (pun intended) to make this an integral part of my healing model.
When our mind is balanced, it becomes our medicine by producing relaxing, healing hormones that counteract the damaging affects of our past.
If the mind is over-thinking, stressed, anxious or depressed – it becomes anti-medicine (like kryptonite) and no matter how much we TRY to do all the right things, this part becomes the obstacle.
Where mind, body and soul are in alignment then you don't rely on external remedies to do what your body can do naturally and quickly. And changing your mind, changes your life!
